Mechanical Design Engineer
Vibrantcy is looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design of mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) systems for commercial, institutional, governmental, educational and healthcare facilities. Projects will include the design of systems to support our design and analysis services, including air moving systems, process piping, pumping, fluids, mechanical, and technical design.
Any experience including plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and other mechanical systems on REVIT or AutoCAD would also be a benefit.
A successful candidate will provide and support HVAC and Plumbing design for commercial, institutional, governmental, educational and healthcare facilities
Professional Engineering registration highly preferred
Must be willing to work in a design team environment, take design direction from senior-level engineers and coordinate with in-house production staff
Design tasks will include Surveying Existing Systems, Feasibility Studies, Defining Program Requirements, Design Analyses, Calculations, HVAC Design, Plumbing Design, Equipment Selection and Layout, Writing\editing Specifications and Construction Administration
Good communication skills are necessary to ensure consistent internal communication and coordination among other members of our design team
Work with other disciplines to assure quality control, ensure accuracy of the package, meet schedule and budget commitments
Meet with clients and other members of the design team to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work
Preferred candidate may also have experience with fire sprinkler systems, and other mechanical systems on REVIT or AutoCAD would also be a benefit.
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC and Plumbing design.
CAD experience of producing drawings ready for construction.
Experience interfacing with client contacts.
Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD, and Revit.
LEED Accredited Professional is preferred.
